Welcome to our office. We want you to share the advantages of our dental specialty and to feel comfortable with us.
Our Chicago office is located at Western Avenue (2400 W), two blocks south of Touhy Avenue (7200N). We have our own patient parking lot behind the building. Our Northbrook office is in the downtown area immediately west of the Metra train station. We are three miles west of Edens, one mile south of Dundee Road, and one mile north of Willow Road.
Dr. Stefen Lippitz received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree as well as Bachelor of Science Degrees in Biology and Dentistry from the University of Illinois and his Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Iowa. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society and he received the Pierre Fouchard Academy award for "Outstanding Contributions to the Progress and Standing of the Dental Profession." He has done some of the most significant research in the properties of adhesives used in dentistry and orthodontics. He lectures to dentists and dental specialists on adhesives and on contemporary advances in orthodontic treatment. He is a director of clinical training for Invisalign®, the past President of the Primus Orthodontic Study Group and is an advisor to major manufacturers of orthodontic treatment materials.
Dr. Herbert Lippitz received his Dental Degree and his Graduate Degree in Orthodontics from Northwestern University. He is the past President of the Illinois Society of Orthodontics and past Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois. He was Chief Orthodontic Consultant of the State of Illinois Department of Registration and Education. Dr. Herbert Lippitz was President of the Faculty Advisory Board of Northwestern University Dental School. He speaks and has spoken before major dental organizations for many years.
Drs. Lippitz are members of numerous general dental and orthodontic specialty organizations. They are participating members of the Primus Orthodontic Study Group. Both Dr. Stefen and Dr. Herbert practice orthodontics exclusively. Both doctors hold orthodontic specialty licenses. Drs. Lippitz are runners, bikers, swimmers, ardent fishermen and continuous students.
We employ a variety of techniques that can be used to treat many different kinds of orthodontic problems. Typical problems involve growth and development in the young patient and functional, disease, trauma, and esthetic problems for patients from childhood to old age. Preventive, protective, and corrective needs are treated. Appliances may be fixed (glued to the teeth) or removable. Treatment times vary from several weeks to two years.
We are especially skilled in the use of the new Invisalign invisible braces. Properly designed, they provide a great opportunity for those patients who prefer invisible and removable braces.
The fees for routine types of orthodontic cases are divided and presented in three main separate categories. They are: (1) clinical examination, evaluation of diagnostic records, and treatment planning; (2) active treatment, and finally, (3) post active treatment retention (retainers). Our patients range in age from four to ninety years. We welcome new patients and their friends. Our entire staff looks forward to meeting you.
